Soul Exp.

Soul Exp.

So what do we have here? Well, it’s a very special release we present with one of the most mysterious and hidden man out of Sweden. People have said he’s Sweden’s equivalent to Detroit’s finest Moodymann. Lo-fi House with lots of Soul. Baeka is his name and he has an output which could be compared to how quick politicians act to the global warming. With that said, we’re very happy to have him on board and Soul Exp. is a future classic. Soul Exp. was actually released back in 2004 on the Deeplay Vaults EP and it was a huge success back then with support from a broad range of people. Everyone loved the melodic piano matching the uplifting vocals together with the rhythmic and effective cowbells. Now it got a Re-Rub and the result would best be described as a mish-mash of seventies disco with some old-skool House feeling blended in with a slice of the vibe of Kerri Chandler’s-Bar A Thym and a topping of Moodymann. Following the new 2008 original, there are four other mixes made by Baeka himself. He strip it down with the Elektro Version. The Reason Version is a more laidback smooth affair. Soul Expedition Lounge is exactly as it sounds. And we also have the instrumental for you non-vocals-fashionistas out there. And Norwegian finest Dalminjo (Papa Records) delivers a stunning deep effective mix with a killer bassline. Check it out. “I want to know where I’m going, I want to know see the future now......................” Can it get any better than this????
