Ernesto returns with a Remix EP, including all his songs released on Rakkaus thus far getting remixed by some of the coolest cats of both soul and house out there. “Pretty Lies” gets treated by Swedish hip hop/soul-wonder Erik L. Hanging out and making music with Swedish hip hopers such as Organism 12, and american ones like 7even:thirty, Erik’s epic-gone-quirky beats have been hailed by blogs and journalists across the globe. This time, when Erik lends a hand to Ernesto, the result is something quite unique for the both of them! “Love Comes Round” is treated in a filtery lush style by Marc Poppcke, German producer whose career has sky-rocketed the last two years, with releases and remixes on Freerange, Defected, Soma to name a few pillars in the house community. Following this comes Frankfurt duo Motorcitysoul’s remix of “Wise”. Motorcitysoul has previously teamed up with Ernesto on their album “Technique” for Will Saul’s Simple Records. The result then was “Deliver Me” who was also made a single, and remixed by Prosumer. This time, the remix is a seriously old-school house joint, that breathes uplifting vocal house from the mid nineties. The fourth track is “Spin On” in a treatment of Swedish producer Stray, who have two celebrated albums under his belt: Here to Stray and Get On Up. His remix presents another aspect of the 80ies vibe from the original; slightly more lotek and basking even more in the glory of huge reverbs.
