Kirkwood
Tulipa Recordings label boss Summer (Brendon Collins) fires up a new tune in an alternate reality. This number Kirkwood is a dedication to the enigmatic community situated within the soul of Saint Louis, Missouri. The ode is orchestrated in the typical Summer fashion-- moody, trippy, groovy, adventurous. Brendon is fortunate to now call Kirkwood home and he bathes in the depth and inspiration of the midwestern hamlet.
A picture for a perfect night. Sad roses from the sheath. Too many tides broken under a sullen sky. The love that drifts in. Sweeping down the staircase during the mid-winter solace. The note left on the windowsill staring at me blindly. Sympathy. A morbid day for the dusk jumpers. Lead me on the path of famished choices. Staring sirens. Running into the purple. Save a little for the ghost. It is time to drench a rooftop. Lessons. Bleeding into the street.
