Maximus Bellini takes the reins at Crossing Over Records this month, adding 'ECP' to his long list of international releases. This new track brings a heavy bass groove and a driving percussion, offset by an atmospheric breakdown and a hybrid progressive tech sound. 'ECP' is a timely reminder of why this Russian producer is quickly becoming a label favourite: his unpredictable style, which dips into everything from techno, progressive, tech house and house, is a great match for the COR crossover sound.

Jason Grey takes a fresh approach to the 'ECP' remix, with a funk-driven, tech house style that is in stark contrast to his usual bass-heavy sound. He strips out the track and builds in a geometric melody of square tooth sound samples and percussive synth elements that echo the Maximus Bellini original, and follows up with a melodic breakdown that takes its cues from a modern, Daft Punk-esque sound. This is Jason Grey at his best, pushing boundaries to create new sounds in dance.
