Klonck
Electronic connoisseur Stephen J. Kroos joins the Tulipa Recordings family with his intrepid Klonck EP. He is well versed in the intricate languages of techno and tech-house. Stephen's productions shine brightly like a sharp ray of sunlight piercing through watery clouds.
The title track Klonck ignites the body with its humming low end, moaning lead synth, and lopsided groove. Stephen captures the essence of high energy techno and the subtle cleverness of quality tech-house. Klonck works most effectively on a peak hour dance floor. Datt follows, echoing the welcomed pleasures of the previous number. Datt, however, flows in a more minimal vein. Datt abuses acidic structures and houses a library of audio insidiousness. Unik and Eurypteride both drive the EP toward a dramatic pinnacle. Unik ascends into a realm of synthetic techno bliss. Stephen masterfully launches the continuous groove from Unik and drives it into Eurypteride. Spacial reasoning becomes obsolete and the realms of time and place become irrelevent.
Stephen J. Kroos has conquered the art of music and motion. He cautiously rides the line between minimal techno, house, and twisted melodies to showcase a specific sound that lands safely at home with Tulipa Recordings. He has many stories to paint with his music, and Klonck is his grand opening on the imprint.
