Before you get too excited, no this post isn’t going to contain a download link to the official release of Knife Party‘s new EP 100% No Modern Talking, but what we do have to offer are some pretty good previews of what you can expect to hear come release day.

100% No Modern Talking was originally set to contain 4 brand new tracks: Internet Friends, Tourniquet, Fire Hive, and Back To The Z-List, but apparently the last track didn’t make the cut because “they hate that song now” and it has subsequently been replaced with Destroy Them With Lazers.

If you were wondering what 100% No Modern Talking refers to then read on. Modern Talking is a wavetable used in a synthesizer called Massive which has become very popular amongst certain dubstep producers. It’s overused and has a very distinctive sound that makes it easy to tell when someone has implemented it. Rob Swire once described it as the ‘Comic Sans’ of dubstep. That says it all really.

Anyway, enough talking. Most of you will have heard these tracks already thanks to their Essential Mix, but here they are again in slightly elongated form.
