The story behind Kenny Summit's rise to prominence has more twists and turns, ups and downs than one might expect; a life long DJ who's seen the world as an athlete turned runway model, being shot multiple times, a long stint being homeless, then a life changing injury forced him to take charge of his life. When Kenny Summit's first collaboration with Frankie Knuckles reached #1 ("Loving You" featuring Yasmeen on vocals), he was living in his car, showering at the local YMCA and working out of a Starbucks so he could have internet access. A life punctuated by ups and downs, Kenny attributes his passion for DJing and love for production as the stimulant that helped lift him out of poverty.
