Vivo en Venezuela
The music of Jordan Oliver has taken on a new direction with his intensive travels and studies in Europe, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. These fresh sounds and vibrant rhythms can be heard in such new compositions as Caribbean Swing, Todavia Buscando, and Costa Rican Nights. While in Venezuela Jordan immersed himself in Latin culture by studying different styles of Latin jazz and pop culture, including: salsa, merengue, Andean, and cumbia. In his travels to Spain, Jordan also inherited the feel of Andalusian-Spanish music which he includes in his recent compositions Mademoiselle, Andean Flute, and Cha Cha Morocco. All the while Jordan has stayed close to his musical roots by performing blues-jazz compositions and neo-classical pieces heard on his Purely Piano CD. This original style of fusion and passion in composition are brought to life in his live concerts.
