The Inverted Jenny
Since 1992, Howard/Johnson has been sporadically spreading its moxy sonic sound, first with the EP "Mr. HandleBars" in 1995 (now out of print) and then with the album "Merchandise #5" in 1998 (still available). While working on their follow-up album affectionately dubbed "Under Water Basket Weaving," circa 2000, Howard/Johnson took a Rip Van Winkle break, waking up 10 years later to mass indifference over their imagined legacy. Determined to leave a mark, even if it's only the size of a walnut shoe, and having never learned to appreciate when something is totally hopelesss, Howard/Johnson set about releasing one song per month, gaining radio and Internet play over the past number of months for a majority of the songs on this album named after their favorite postage stamp "The Inverted Jenny."
