Born in Australia from a Lebanese father and a German mother, Johnny Merheb has always been culturally challenged. Having traveled to Lebanon in the early eighties and lived there during the civil war, Johnny became an outspoken prominent Middle Eastern political activist.
Having the dream of becoming a radio broadcaster led him to form his own little radio station in Lebanon covering a 5 km radius.
From the age of 15 he started writing Hip Hop and learning "Old Skool" Hip Hop dance routines. It was Johnny’s older brother who taught him the basics, but Johnny M added a Middle Eastern element to his Hip Hop routines which made his moves stand out.
During that time dancing was very popular amongst the Lebanese youth and popularity was measured by your ability to gain the crowd's approval, and it’s needless to say that the crowd hugely approved Johnny’s creative dance routines.
