Diversecity represents The Genres' premiere body of work, a celebration of each person's unalienable right to be different, authentic and grateful for their life to live.

Hailing from disparate parts of the San Francisco Bay Area - a place known to be a melting pot of cultural diversity - each member of this group offers a unique perspective of what creative expression means to them, and what each person means to the group.

Kicking off with "Right Now", Diversecity immediately offers a bright introduction to the ethos of the band - belief in oneself and seizing the moment to make the most of your personal gifts. "Mellow Gs" then presents a smooth and chilled out declaration to a life of growth and living life by design, aptly followed by "Palette of Life" - a song using painting with colors as a metaphor for adding clarity and vision to your life, featuring the turntable wizardry of DJ Pause. "Ain't Enough" then arrives to add a soulful flare of gratitude, while the following "Love Drug" speaks of a love so powerful it's intoxicating.

Bringing things down to a more reflective tone, "Temptations" shines a light on the imperfection we all carry and the internal battle we face everyday with any number of our own vices. "Native Summer" then goes on to celebrate an ethos each member of the group holds closely: friendship, with a song that reflects on memories spent with the people that have helped shape who we are today. "Stand Up" then kicks up the energy to deliver a strong and reflective look at the divide between rich and poor, the powerful and the meager - featuring powerful performances by Bay Area hip-hop legend Equipto and the incomparable Mike Marshall.

In the wake of such heavy reflection, "Searchin'" is representative of the internal dialogue each member of the group has had in finding meaning in the world and with their place in it - featuring a guest appearance from longtime friend of the group Mighty Leeban. "On Our Way" kicks the album back into high gear with a hopeful vibe of growth awaiting down a long road ahead. "Chosen Ones" then sees the return of Mighty Leeban to kick off a high energy anthem of self-belief and purpose. Closing out Diversecity is an honest reflection of the world we've all inherited, which also happens to be the first song the group collectively wrote together, in "Real World".

The Genres' hometown of San Francisco has always been known for bringing together all walks of life. In more recent times, it has also been the epicenter of change brought on by people who've followed a vision with a dream to change the world. However, not all change is positive - as many of those who've called the region home are now being displaced, and a continuous divide between frustrated citizens and law enforcement lingers.

The Genres offer a creative reflection of the continuous change their home has undergone and remain a product of their own respective Diversecity.
