Reflections
Reflections (2013)
‘Reflections’ is Earl Johnson’s first album release featuring fourteen beautiful original compositions and one arrangement for solo piano. As the title suggests, listeners are transcended into a journey that follows Earl’s nine-month personal reflection of the highs and lows of his life. Earl hopes that listeners will discover their own stories within the melodies of his works. Earl’s easy-listening play style is best defined as contemporary fused with a hint of jazz. You are introduced to the album with his first song A Small Prayer, followed by fan favorites such as Meadow Falls, Rumination, and Nightfall, as well as the jazzy sounds of Street Lights, Shard of Glass and his one arrangement, All The Things You Are. With nearly an hour's worth of listening time, Earl hopes you find 'Reflections' enjoyably soothing, memorable, and heart-warming each and every play through.
