It was after the release of her first EP "Cardboard Spaceship" in 2009, while studying Music Technology in college, that Neev met Dave Payne and the pair formed an instant bond. They started to collaborate and work on songs already penned by Neev and shape them into their own particular style. With Dave, Neev's songs developed subtly but distinctively, with more focus on guitar melodies and textures. Dischords, alternate tunings and close harmony between the two guitars and vocals can be heard in their music. 'From the Depths' is the foundation of their musical journey together with songs such as "Ice Clouds" and "Out of My Sight" indicating the development of the sound that defines Neev Kennedy's music.
