Lifetime Thing
The Title Cut is all about overcoming tradgedy, finding love and moving on. " Over all really nice work.."......Mike Levesque Sr., PLUSHnyc Partner/Sound Design. "I can definitely hear the "Chicago-esque" feel of your music with a bit of Clapton as well- you do sound like Eric Clapton- your voice is very good!"........Jeanne Mcananey, Owner/Author, Joey Publishing Inc. Love and its complications is a reoccurring subject on Lifetime Thing. “Ebb and Flow,” “Why Ask Why” and “My Future in Your Eyes” search for a sense of understanding amidst the embers of old relationships, while “Justified” is an anthem of renewal and self-reliance. Katz’s daughters are the subject of two sensitive tunes, “Blue Eyes” and “Waiting on the Other Side.” “Oh Ceil” rekindles Bobby’s memories of his mother waiting up for him on the family couch. Widest in scope is “Confusion,” a “kind of world address” that calls for a return to sanity amidst modern-day chaos. From intimate confessions to broader commentaries, Lifetime Thing’s songs find unity in their search for enduring love and refusal to surrender to despair. Adding an atmospheric note to the entire project is "Stormin,'" an instrumental number that was inspired by the stormy skies over Katz's Florida beachside home."The idea is to take something that's happened to me and try to transpose it into something anybody can relate to. I want my songs to come out of real life and to give people comfort - and maybe even hope."....Bobby Katz.
