Sky Is the Limit
The Sky Is the Limit is a joint project between Al Pancho and Matt McQuaid of QCI Records. Al Pancho, the Rastafarian Dee jay, was born Owen Ricardo Brown in St. Mary, Jamaica. He moved to Kingston in 1988 where he met Bunny Stricker Lee with whom he recorded his first songs in the early 90s. The young Owen Brown started singing when he was 12 years old, just for fun with his friends in the back their houses. He became influenced by deejays such as Buju Banton and Shabba Ranks, Al Pancho began his career by performing alongside some of Reggae’s biggest artists. He has since released his own albums featuring appearances from Luciano, Lutan Fyah, Bounty Killer and Junior Kelly. This talented veteran of the Reggae scene recorded some of his first singles when he was only 17. He also released several singles for various producers such as Don Mais, Junior Dodd, Lustre Kings Production and Clive Hunt. Since then Al Pancho has cut tunes with many of today’s major Reggae record labels including Das Vibes and Minor 7 flat 5. He released his debut album, “Righteous Men” including many duets in 2004. Followed by, “My Story” released in 2007 on Dwell Records and a year later he released “Joy Bells Ringing”.
