All Night Long (Radio Mix)

All Night Long (Radio Mix)

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, this prodigal son of the East Coast moved down south to San Antonio, Texas at age 11. It was in his junior year of high school that he discovered his love and passion for music and dancing. It was also in his junior year that he was selected to become a regular dancer on a local teen dance show called "Jammin" that was hosted by legendary radio personality Sonny Melendrez and aired on KENS 5 TV. After shooting a few episodes of the dance show, he decided to use the name Chuck L. as his stage name. It did not take long for him to start gaining popularity in and around San Antonio. After using his creative abilities to co-write and short rap a song promoting the teen dance show, he then showcased his rap performance on a Jammin episode, catching the attention of the show’s host Sonny Melendrez. A few other commercial opportunities followed as he was invited down to the KTFM 102.7 radio station to perform the promotional rap song live on the morning show.

A few months later, Chuck L. caught the attention of writer/ poet Silas Jefferson who contacted Jammin producer Cindy Casino to request that Chuck L. read for the lead part in a movie that Silas Jefferson wrote and was being developed by Walt Disney. After graduating from high school, Chuck L. whose birth name is Charles Williams, joined the U.S Army. In November 1988 Chuck L. left San Antonio to begin basic training in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. After completing his training, he was stationed back in Texas at Fort Hood in March 1989. During his time in service, Chuck L. began writing & recording his earliest works that included tracks such as "What About My Heart" & "Loves So Hard To Find" as well as performing live shows in and around San Antonio during his weekends away from military duty. After completing his term of service in the U.S Army, Chuck L. moved back to San Antonio to pursue his career in entertainment.

Taking every opportunity to showcase his talents including talent shows, clubs and city wide events, Chuck L. continued to write, record and worked on a strong live show performance. After perfecting his craft Chuck L. became the opening act for many of the hottest R & B/ Hip Hop act in the music business touring through San Antonio. With a steady schedule of live performances, writing and recording as well as taking on the producing of younger acts, Chuck L. was approached by Fox 35 KRRT TV producers in March 1994 to become a TV host & face of a newly created daily afternoon show called 'Fox Rocks". Although Chuck L. loved being the TV show host, music is what he craved more than anything. In August 1994, Chuck L. woke from an evening nap and pinned a song in 20 minutes entitled "It's My Turn", he went straight to the studio to complete the recording. He then took the project one step further and with the assistance of his friends and big supporter from Fox 35, Chuck L. now had the opportunity and resources to write, direct, produce and star in his first ever music video for his hit song "It's My Turn". The video went on to be introduced and aired by Donny Simpson, the legendary video & radio show host of BET's Video Soul.. Chuck L. was then prompted by his agents, manager and production team to follow the video up with a full length album.

While enduring a schedule that had the young artist grinding 18+ hour days, he would take the next two months to write his first ever complete full length album entitled "60 Minutes Of U" and change his stage name to his birth name "Charles". This album included hits like "My Place", "Let Me Show U Love", " If Your Ready", and the gospel inspired track "Beyond This Lifetime" in which he teamed up with San Antonio female powerhouse vocalist Alisa Claridy! However, after luke warm interest from major labels, Charles became extremely disappointed, he vowed as he informed his agents, manager and production team that unless he obtained the financial backing with a studio budget that would allow him to never ever compromise the music, he would never record again!

The Album never saw daylight and in 1995, Charles disappeared from sight and fell completely off the entertainment radar. In March 2006, after a long absence he would re-emerge over the radio waves with a voice advertisement as Vice President for Washington Mutual Banks "Free Checking Extravaganza". In early 2009 Charles had been asked by several of his long time friends to include those within the music industry to return to music and continue his lifelong passion by fulfilling the dream that has escaped him for many years! In April 2009 Charles made the decision to return to music. Charles then teamed up with West Coast production company Bombeat and producer DeVon Smash to write and record his first single back entitled “She Wanna Bad Boy” featuring J. Milli, which was released August 2009. After riding the up and down waves of his first single back, Charles next move would shock most as he called a press conference in San Antonio, TX to issue a formal 12 week Challenge to music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, Bad Boy Records, VH1, MTV, Sgt. Harvey Walden IV, Doctor Ian. Smith, and Steve Ward.

“The Challenge” has evolved into a new reality concept called “A Shot At A Dream” giving Charles 12 weeks to meet his fitness goals, 12 weeks, to write, record and produce his next full length album and just 12 weeks to narrow a field of 12 ladies down to the one that will capture his heart! While “A Shot At A Dream” reality show is currently in the development stages, Charles headed back out to the West Coast to team back up with Devon Smash and Bombeat production to produce his new single “All Night Long” and a bonus track that will capture everyone attention to be released this spring 2011.

Charles has two moto’s: "Live your life, have fun now! Cause when it's over, It’s all over!!!" and “Those in positions to help others, have a responsibility to help others”. I'm God's property, Live, Laugh and Love! Charles
