David Grant has been soaring above the clouds since the release of his debut CD "First Flight."

David has logged countless hours, both on his guitar and in the cockpit. By now, you probably have realized that David Grant is both an accomplished guitarist and commercial airline pilot. He is equally comfortable soaring on the fretboard as he is flying at 30,000 feet.

David began playing guitar just before his senior year in high school in his home town of Richmond, California. He bought the George Benson 'Breezin' album. "The tunes on the album, 'Affirmation', 'So This is Love', and 'Lady' just had me mesmerized. I listened to them over
and over and over, all summer long that year", David says.

Grant started college at San Jose State University in San Jose, CA. During his sophmore year at SJSU, he was asked to join a Top 40 band called 'Chain Reaction.' The band played various clubs and events around the south bay area until they split up one year later. After the band broke up he enrolled in various jazz
