India - EP
The Vanities are an electro-pop duo based in Cardiff. Formed at the dawn of the 21st century by Rhys Bradley and Adam Hill, the band's manifesto was to sculpt classic pop songs infused with a touch of glamour and decadence much lacking on the local scene. Drawing inspiration from key influences such as Bowie, Depeche Mode and Duran Duran, the band make music about love and hate; life and death; hope and despair; light and dark and everything inbetween. Following the release of their debut single 'Space Tourist' on cult indie label Boobytrap Records (2002), the band subsequently formed their own Star Asylum Records as a vehicle for their music: 'Buzz' (2004), 'Under The Same Sky' (2005) and their long awaited debut album 'The Vanities' (2011). Hot on the heels of their eponymous retrospective, The Vanities return with 'India', a record that stands alongside the band's best work and is sure to delight the faithful and new fans alike.
