Mohandas Dewese (born 8 August 1962), better known as Kool Moe Dee, was an American old-school MC prominent in the late 1970s, throughout the 1980s and early 1990s. He was born in Manhattan, New York. Kool Moe Dee was also the first recipient of the NAACP Image award. He was also one of the first rappers to gain a Grammy award and he was the first to perform at the Grammys.
