Fennec
Korean American DJ/producer Fennec draws on influences like The Avalanches, DJ Koze, and Moodymann to craft chopped-up, loopy, and playful dance music. Currently based in Austin, TX, he channels the city’s unique and oddball sound. With releases on Thirty Year Records, HAUS of ALTR, and his own label Fennec Sound, acclaim has been well-received from Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and Resident Advisor. Notably, Fennec’s “Boy-U” was named by Rolling Stone as one of the 200 Greatest Dance Songs of All Time. For those lucky enough to catch the enigmatic Fennec behind the decks, expect to be torn between losing yourself in the music and trying to sneak a peek at what’s playing. As a DJ, Fennec showcases his crate digging sensibilities by crafting adventurous, wide-ranging mixes of global left-field finds, 90’s deep house, and unreleased edits for laughing and jacking on the dance floor.
