Comprised of Kaz Gamble, aka DJ Kazimir and California girl Sisely Treasure, The Cooler Kids originated when Gamble was messing around at the Pop Rox studio with ex-Luscious Jackson singer Jill Cunniff. The two were laying down disco-inflected tracks with some friends just for fun and before they knew it, Treasure befriended Gamble via AOL and a friendship was born. A musical bond formed shortly thereafter while Cunniff stuck around to be the 'groove godmother.' The Cooler Kids' fresh, kitschy sound made its debut in 2003 when DreamWorks issued Punk Debutante.
