Sarah Simmons
Sarah has a heart unlike any other, and a voice that expresses her depth of passion. So much of her life has been marked by pain and heartache, but through her faith and her love of music, she has pressed on to share her unbelievable gift. \r \r Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Sarah’s musical influences started in her home long before she can remember. From the strumming of her Dad’s guitar to watching old musical classics with her grandmother, Sarah was raised around melody. Throughout her childhood she pursued a number of avenues that would provide training and experience to further her dreams of someday singing professionally and touching others’ hearts through song. \r \r At 13, Sarah began traveling the country and performing with a musical theater troupe. At 15, her dad gave her a guitar and she started writing her first original songs. And at 20 she set out for Memphis to study vocal music at Visible Music College. "Talking is alright," Sarah says. "But when I sing, I believe you can really feel my heart - and then you'll know me more than just words could express."\r \r For Sarah, the measure of success is simple: if she can inspire hope in her audience, she's made it.
