Atapy
Arpi Takacs is responsible behind the constant uprising act Atapy, but lets not speed things up when it comes to this guy. Despite the young of his age born in 86 his addiction regarding electronica came early. First as a regular freak in club corners then behind some booths teasing his dj skills. It was time to expand and to take it to the next level. It started slowly and deep as all good things want their spark, first at some smaller labels gaining more and more attention and support from others.\r \r It was 2010 that he started to put more attention on the production side after a lot of research and musical exposure. Atapy's skills has been hosted as a guest to many radio shows creating a hype of his sound. He released some of his productions with heavy notice and support by people like M.A.N.D.Y./Dubfire/Laurent Garnier/Ritchie Hawtin/ Tom Budden/ Djuma Soundsystem/Someone Else/Jacuzzi Boys/Brothers Vibe and many more.\r \r That was also a burst in to presenting even more high quality installations between his own productions and of course filtering new ones, started with the same hunger and success to work with great imprints like Brise Records from Germany with his first release called “Sweet Things EP” which receives a positive reaction and support by great artists as well, also getting the possibility to collaborate with the well know duo of the electronic underground music scene Monoroom.\r \r His royal persona doesn't stop there, making other productions and remixing others music. 2011 was actually the year for Atapy, starting with a single called Move Baby released on his own imprint Cimelde, that simply took him to a possible next big step getting great support by artists like M.A.N.D.Y., Anthony Pappa, Tim Green, Tom Budden and made him recognized by the people out there. His next release on Tom Budden’s ALiVE Recordings with the You Should Know EP including remixes by Inxec and JMX has got trough the Top Deep House charts like a shooten bullet, simply and effective. Also having a couple of other single EP's on Daniel Mehlhart’s imprint, Notes, and after the well success of his track Move Baby, he was ready for his new re-edit of the tune up on Cimelde as Move Baby The Remixes EP including reworks by Anthony Pappa, Tom Budden, Sasc BBC and Simon Beeston. 2012 looks to be a productive year for Atapy by releasing his Remember EP on Noir Music (NM2) incl. remixes by Inxec & Droog and Kolombo followed up with a couple of remixes for artists like Adriatique, Kolombo and more, then a next bright step, was a collaboration between him and Noir, with a single called Never Fade Back included on Full Body Workout Vol. 9 the annual compilation, released on the Berlin based imprint Get Physical being with other artists like DJ T, Audiojack, Blond:ish, Simon Baker, Martin Buttrich and more, that pushed their track even into the top charts.
