Capa
CAPA combines elements of black metal, post-metal, progressive, shoegaze and ambient music. CAPA focuses conceptually on the topics of nihilism, greed, surrealism, and the relationship between society and the natural world. Each album is meticulously crafted to tell a story through music, artwork, poems, and journal entries that span the band's discography. The Philadelphia-based collective utilizes a wide array of instruments that include piano, melodica, glockenspiel, banjo, singing bowl, and didgeridoo. The conclusion to the trilogy is set to be released late 2012.\r \r band member:\r \r Brandon Scott Baun- Piano, guitar, bass, vocals, keyboard, glockenspiel, banjo, mijwiz, didgeridoo, kalimba, drums/percussion, tibetan singing bowl, indonesian noise maker, field recordings, throat singing, electronics\r \r Collectively:\r \r Anthony Vaccaro- Drums\r \r Gerald Kielburger- Drums/percussion, bongos, glass cups\r \r Keith Craley- Vocals\r \r Matt Scanlon- Vocals\r \r Chris Hartman- Vocals\r \r JP Singletary- Guitar\r \r Matt Hershey- Guitar, additional bass\r \r Zach Sweeney- Violin\r \r In-Sook Pearlman- Violin\r \r Matt Buckley- Drums, glockenspiel, microwave manipulation, engineering\r \r Will Schaeffer- Chaos wah, jug blowing, guitar\r \r Richard Gavalis- Engineering\r \r Artwork by Alexander Toulas.
